WORLD CANCER DAY IS FEBRUARY 4

On February 4 the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer will mark World Cancer Day. On this day, individuals and organizations are asked to explore how they can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer.

The Partnership is supporting the Union for International Cancer Control’s (UICC) global campaign to harness “support through sport” via social media, and launching a shareable Facebook quiz to test your knowledge of cancer facts. Several Canadian landmarks will be lit in orange and blue on February 4 to recognize World Cancer Day.

World Cancer Day is coordinated by the UICC and is supported internationally by the world’s major cancer societies, ministries of health, research institutes, treatment centres and patient groups. Join the conversation on social media using #WorldCancerDay and #WeCanICan.
